Something’s Gotta Give

I recently came across a quote that really resonated with me:
“The Only Person Stressing Me Out Right Now, Is Me, Because I Want So Much Better For Myself.”

Many of us tend to take on too much, trying to do everything at once and often achieving very little, if anything at all.

Running a small business alone involves creating products by hand, taking professional photos, producing videos, selecting packaging while minimising shipping costs, and self-promotion on social media. It can get overwhelming at times. I am still struggling with social media, but I’m trying to post in my Facebook group at least once a week.

On top of that, I decided to start a YouTube channel, but I’ve been too disorganised to film new content beyond a few videos related to the decals I sell.

In addition to all this, I applied to do a digital marketing course. Midway through the course, I realised I had to set some things aside for a while, so I haven’t posted a blog entry in a couple of months or produced any new YouTube videos.
But that’s okay because the course is important to me. Not only will it help improve my online presence, but it will hopefully also lead to a work-from-home job, which is crucial to supplement my income given the current economic situation.

On Monday I submitted my final assignment, and the following day received an email to say I had passed, subject to moderation. And now I have to wait up to 8 weeks to see if I’m going to get my certificate.

I’ll do a separate blog post about the course.

And so now it’s back to business. I need to get my some new Christmas listings sorted, starting with the task I hate the most – yes those darn photos, and making some videos; which is the main focus for this week.

But my fatigue has been quite bad the past few days. I’m feeling rather washed out, so I’m taking my time and not pushing myself too hard. If it takes me a few extra days to get them onto Etsy, then so be it. I’d rather not end up completely wiped out and unable to achieve anything.
