I’m still very new to recording YouTube content, but I’m amazed that I have managed to upload another video – that’s 2 weeks in a row now!
Are there some things I would change? Yes, of course there are, mainly trying to improve the background; it looks a bit murky, especially at the start of the video. But if I tried to make it all 100% perfect, it would never get published. And I can look to improve it, and the other things that are bugging me, as I go forward with future videos.
This week’s YouTube upload is a tutorial on making personalised clipboards.
It mainly focuses on using canvas panels and mountable clipboard clips, though towards the end of the video, I also show a few alternative options for both the baseboards and the clips.
While many people pop notes into their phones these days, I still prefer good old handwritten lists.
They’re a simple, fun project that makes for great gifts and is something kids can easily get involved with, too.
Because they can be personalised in so many ways, they’re also perfect for small businesses, fundraisers, and charity events. Decorate them in your brand colours, or match a charity’s theme – like pink for Breast Cancer Care, and you’ve got something both practical and meaningful.
The possibilities are endless.

I didn’t do a blog post for last week’s video, which was a Silhouette Studio tutorial showing how you can edit nodes and use the offset feature to give you better and cleaner cuts.
